In-Person Event: Juneteenth Celebration

Members of Terwilliger Plaza are invited to attend our annual Juneteenth Celebration to hear from Rev. Cecil Prescod about the origin and history of the holiday. A lifelong activist for social justice and Minister of Faith Formation at the Ainsworth United Church of Christ, and a brother in the Catholic religious Order of Corpus Christi, Rev. Prescod has received awards for his work to end discrimination by race, sex or gender.

Following the presentation by Rev. Prescod, we will move to the Tower Auditorium for soul music by Bridge City Soul and then to the Parkview Sky Lounge for refreshments, a raffle, and an informational display. We anticipate a full and memorable Juneteenth afternoon!
