Our policy
Terwilliger Plaza is a smoke-free, representative self-governed community. We value diversity and are pledged to the letter and spirit of the federal and state policy for the achievement of equal housing opportunities. We encourage and support affirmative advertising and marketing in which there are no barriers to obtaining housing due to race, color, religion, gender, disability, national origin, or sexual orientation.
Terwilliger Plaza Members Land Acknowledgement:
We acknowledge the land on which we meet, live and work at Terwilliger Plaza. “The Portland metro areas rests on traditional village sites of the Multnomah, Wasco, Cowlitz, Kathlamet, Clackamas, Bands of Chinook, Tualatin, Kalapuya, Molalla and many other tribes who made their homes along the Columbia River creating communities and summer encampments to harvest and use the plentiful natural resources of the area”. (Portland Indian Leaders Roundtable, 2018). We offer gratitude for the land itself and thank those who have been stewards for generations.
