In October 2009, Terwilliger Plaza was licensed by the state of Oregon to operate an In-Home Care Agency. This full service care agency began providing assistance to Plaza members in 2010.
The benefits may include homemaking and health services such as assistance with personal care tasks, light housekeeping, meal preparation, companionship, as well as help with errands and transportation. Nursing services and medication management are also available to members. The types and frequency of assistance are determined by the particular circumstances and needs of the individual client/member.
The In-Home care advantage expands the continuum of care that is offered to members, by allowing them to have more choices relative to where and how they navigate through the aging process.
It also ensures that organizational quality standards are maintained for members that seek assistance in their homes.
