Our health services staff take great pride in their on-going, compassionate approach to care giving. Each member is treated with dignity and respect while individual needs are professionally addressed.
As a nationally accredited "Continuing Care Retirement Community," (CCRC) we offer a wide spectrum of extended care services - all with the primary goal of keeping you strong and healthy, while maintaining as independent a lifestyle as possible.
Assisted Living and Residential Care
At the Terrace and the Metcalf, licensed nursing staff are on duty 24 hours a day. Members receive assistance with daily living tasks such as meals, laundry and bed-making service, housekeeping, medication management, personal care assistance, help with appointments and transportation. Other health care services are also offered depending on individual needs.
Access to our continuum of care is a benefit of membership at Terwilliger Plaza. Therefore, we reserve the Terrace and the Metcalf only for members living at the Plaza.

The Terrace - Enhanced Assisted Living Community
As a member at Terwilliger Plaza, you will have access to the Terrace should your health care needs increase. The Terrace offers a variety of service plans that are individually designed and monitored.
The Terrace's studio and one-bedroom apartments include private baths, kitchenettes and a nurse-call system. Each floor of the Terrace includes a living room with fireplace, dining room, therapeutic baths, activities room and terraces for gardening and to enjoy the view. There are also planned activities, outings and events directed by a staff activity coordinator.
Metcalf Residential Center
Like the Terrace, the Metcalf also provides daily assistance with personal care needs whether for a short stay or extended time. Here, our members may live in private studio apartments or share a room with a friend or family member.
At the Metcalf, we are pleased to have three visiting physicians, pharmacy deliveries and a variety of other specialty and health care services.
Short Stays
After surgery, or in the event of temporary illness, the Metcalf offers short-term health care services. All members may receive 3 days of care, per year, free of charge. Longer stays may be arranged at a daily rate.
The Metcalf also offers on-site physician clinics and other specialty services such as pharmacy delivery and visiting specialists.
